I Like A Man In Uniform

Kristen and the gang finished the first side of the new uniforms, so expect them shortly all Jorts members...and although Hafer never reads this blog, you're on warning my friend to get some more black ink as we are finally running out...also order some greenaway...we need more of that too....anyway, yeah, so keep on the look out for them soon, and whoever has the addresses of old Jorts players, we are going to need them so we can send them out...Skip said he'd pay for postage...

So even though we are getting new shirts, why arent these are new uniforms?...Jorteralls bitches!

All Great Stories, Have Great Endings...

I believe the entire Jorts family would like to extend our gratitude and love to Charlie, Eric, and JulieIt (alphabetical order of course) for playing with us this summer.  You will be missed, and you can thank the ghost of jared b. for not ordering enough shirts to cover your uniforms.  But either way, its been awesome, its been real, and its been fun playing with you guys...Wait...now that I look at these pictures you all have uniforms...Ok, I would like to apologize to Steve, JK, Margarueitstoolateinthenighttospellthatshit.....and anyone else who didn't get a uni...Also, a special shout out to Steve's scab!...look at that beast!...it's damn near a national treasure!....

New Season

The new season kicks off tonight at RCP so be there or be a roundish flatish reddish ball...Jorts Jorts Jorts!!!

Bing Bing Bing...W1nner!!!

The Jorts took the first championship of the year last night in a windy dervish of a game, 5-2...or something like that.  We have a team picture, but damned if I have a copy.  Someone send it to me for post!

The Masters

Celebrity Don Draper impersonator and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" stunt double "Seanny Mnemonic" wasn't at the game last Thursday, but he did show up afterwards to give the team some key golf pointers...

...and also took the time to help two bitches in the sea get one step closer to figuring out how to hook up the home stereo unit over the weekend...turned out to be the use of the wrong speakers that didn't support digital input...errrr...more like the cables between the speakers and the head unit.

RIP Chomsky

Want to give a quick shout out to the Noam Chomsky mural that is about to be erased on Fairmount.  That mural was pretty boss if you ask me.  Hopefully they paint another similar one someone close by.

 

 

Skip's Bionic Knee

Skip's back from the season ending blade, but all went well...he now has the strength of a gorilla, that has the strength of 3 gorillas!

It's official, the Skipper is down with an ACL tear...time to break out the suit, clipboard, and third base coach helmet...

Thus It Begins Again

The Jorts season kicked off last Thursday with a narrow hard fought win against the defending champs...well played.

On other breaking news, our captain, senior Jake, is now on the IR until further notice due to an undisclosed knee injury from last night high scoring slugfest against the ysc house team.  He's going to give it a few weeks with a cane and hopefully work his way to the PUP list and then onto the diamond.  Here's to hoping to a speedy recovery Skip!

As a replacement, we should hone in on these two possible free agents...someone please contact their handlers...

After a long, tireless winter of blood, sweat, and tears in the gym, Salute Your Jorts wasted no time in making a statement to the rest of the league.  Last Thursday, Jorts took on The Legend of Tom Horshaw (previously known as I Kicked a Girl and I Liked It), fresh off of their victory in last fall's championship game.  As holds true quite often, the championship hangover doomed Tom Horshaw as the Jorts offense strategically sliced and diced the opponents defense leading to a decisive 3-0 clean sheet victory.
